The 352nd FG Association was founded in 1983 when 19 veterans of the Group met in Orlando, Florida while attending an Eighth Air Force Reunion. The first official Association reunion was held in Oklahoma City in 1984 with 130 members and spouses attending and later grew to a membership of more than 1,100 veterans of the 352nd FG and 1st Service Group who served at Bodney, England and Chievres and Asch, Belgium between 1943 and 1945 during the Second World War.

Exploits of the 64th Fighter Squadron Black Scorpions, 65th Fighter Squadron Fighting Cocks, and 66th Fighter Squadron Exterminators.  Escorting medium bombers, and pioneered tactical support dive bombing/strafing/rocket attacks with the P-47.

The USS Forrestal Memorial Organization was formed in 2008, a Texas 501(C)(3) non profit corporation. Original goals of the Forrestal Memorial are tobuild a memorial dedicated to the 134 men who lost their lives in the fire onboard the carrier USS Forrestal on July 29, 1967. This memorial will be locatedin Longview, Texas. Most of our board members are Forrestal Veterans and Veterans who have served in the Navy on variousaircraft carriers. We are a small group of dedicated members who realize what it means to be free and how sacred our freedom truly is.
