USAF Thunderbirds

The Thunderbirds have the privilege and responsibility to perform for people all around the world, displaying the pride, precision and professionalism of American Airmen. In every hour-long demonstration, the team combines years of training and experience with an attitude of excellence to showcase what the Air Force is all about.

The sharply choreographed, drill-style ground ceremony kicks off the demonstration by showcasing the attention to detail and esprit de corps that defines our enlisted members. As the jets take to the skies and fly only a few feet from wingtip to wingtip, the crowd gets a glimpse of the awesome skills and capabilities that all fighter pilots must possess. The solo pilots integrate their own loud and proud routine, exhibiting some of the maximum capabilities of the F-16 Fighting Falcon – the Air Force’s premier multi-role fighter jet.

Team Oracle

Whether he’s climbing one of the Seven Summits, heli-skiing, or flying his aerobatic dream machine, Sean D. Tucker is an aviation leader with a full-throttle attitude who inspires others to pursue their passions.

Sean has been flying airshows worldwide since the mid-70's and has won numerous aerobatic competitions. In that time, he has flown more than 1,275 performances at more than 525 airshows, in front of more than 135 million fans.

The level of professionalism and discipline in Sean’s airshows is no coincidence. He practices his airshow routine three times every day. To endure the extreme physical demands of each routine, Sean maintains a rigorous physical training schedule, working out more than 340 days per year.

Named as one of the Living Legends of Flight, Sean is a member of an elite group of aviators and astronauts that includes General Jimmy Doolittle, General “Chuck” Yeager, and John Glenn.

When asked about flying airshows, Sean responds, "I like to think that I bring the fans' dreams of flying into the plane with me and there's nowhere I'd rather be than in the cockpit. That's why I train so hard to keep a finely tuned edge."

In addition to being a phenomenal aviator, Sean is also a larger than life character who inspires millions of Americans. And he is passionate about the Team Oracle program. His goal is to "share the magic of flight with Team Oracle's guests by inspiring and thrilling them. “I want them to go away saying that the airshow was one of the most engaging days of their lives."

Quick Silver P-51D

This P-51 is a celebration of our nation’s armed forces. Every aspect of the paint represents those who have served, and those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

The black cape covering the front of the aircraft represents the veil of protection that our armed forces give us. That veil is one of the reasons why we have what we have today, freedom.

As the cape extends to the back of the canopy, it spreads out and divides into feathers, symbolizing the eagle that has flown with every aviator since the birth of aviation in 1903.

The black paint has tiny sparkling stars in it, each sparkle represents an American Veteran that served our great country; the unsung stars in our lives. These veterans are the glimmering star in a mother’s eye, a wife or husband’s heart, a son or daughter’s hope for the future.

The silver ring behind the spinner represents the shinning halo of the guardian angel who guides service personnel, having given the ultimate sacrifice, to their final resting place.

The black and white stripes on the wings are there, as they were on all allied aircraft on D-day.

The stars and bars, proudly displayed, represent the armed forces symbol that all United States fighter planes carry.  It carries the post war version because “Quick Silver” was never a part of a unit till after World War 2.

All of the bare metal of this P-51 Mustang is polished. Look closely into the metal, you can see for whom our veterans fought.

Bill Yoak, an individual with a love and passion for this type aircraft did all of the metal work. The remanufactured parts are handmade. Unlike the hurried war effort parts, these are made with the skill and care of a master craftsman, and obtain the utmost attention to detail necessary to restore this Mustang to a condition better than factory new in 1945.

As this silver bird quickly streaks across the sky, let us not forget those who served, sacrificed, and gave their all.
